About GPA Calculator
The GPA (Grade Point Average) is calculated by multiplying each course's grade points by its credit hours, summing those products, and dividing by the total credit hours. This tool uses the standard 4.0 scale used by most US universities.
A GPA of 3.5 or higher (shown in green) typically qualifies for Dean's List recognition. Many graduate school programs require a minimum GPA of 3.0. A GPA below 2.0 may result in academic probation at most institutions.
